Luchemos por la Vida carried out different activities during the 2nd UN Global Road Safety Week, aimed at promoting pedestrians' safety. The Association invited the community to be part of a mobilization for this cause by creating a national network for pedestrians’ life.

On April 4-5, the President of Luchemos por la Vida, Alberto Silveira, attended the Third Global Meeting of NGOs Advocating for Road Safety and Road Victims in Antalya, Turkey.
Mrs. María Cristina Isoba, Director of Research and Road Education, and Mr. Alberto Silveira, President of this Association, were invited to participate in the workshop “Evaluation of Road Safety Interventions: Key Component of the Global Decade of Action”.

Luchemos por la Vida’s campaign “Helmet” was given two awards in the competition 2012 International Safety Media Awards (ISMA) hosted by Alaska Injury Prevention Center in the framework of 11º World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion held by WHO in Wellington, New Zealand.
