New Campaign "Take care of yourself. You, who have a brain, wear a helmet" (2023)

     This year, Luchemos por la Vida is launching this advertising campaign on radio and television to raise awareness and increase helmet use on motorcycles, helping to save lives by preventing evitable traffic deaths.

     This campaign is motivated by the increasing number of motorcyclist deaths in recent years. Head and neck injuries are the leading cause of death among motorcycle and bicycle riders. Helmets protect by preventing or cushioning devastating and disabling head injuries. It's proven that motorcyclists who wear helmets have a 73% lower mortality rate up to 85% fewer serious injuries than those who don't. However, a high percentage of motorcycle riders don't use them, especially in the centre and north of the country, and most of them are young people. They are the main target audience of this campaign.
