On a total amount of 7,485 dead people in traffic accidents in 2012, we estimate more than 2,500 dead people in or by motorcycles or mopeds (34% of the total amount of deaths).

The risk to die is 25 times higher than in other vehicles!

MORE THAN 6 DEAD PEOPLE PER DAY

75 % of them, DIDN’T TURN 25 YEARS OLD.

More than 80 % of them, DIDN’T HAVE LICENSE.

Many of them were UNDER 18 YEARS OLD.

90 % of deaths and accidents in motorcycles and mopeds are caused by:

• Violations to basic traffic rules:
•  -NON-USE OF HELMET, zig-zag, riding against the traffic, not respecting traffic lights, non-use of lights, “wheelie”, and so on.-
• CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE RIDING THE MOTORCYCLE
• SPEEDING
• Circulating at night

MOTORCYCLISTS AND MOPEDS are high-risk vehicles!!!
